Hi, I'm Laura!
MY
PRACTICE
PHILOSOPHY

I know how hard it can be to ask for support - especially when things feel messy, overwhelming, or uncertain. If you’re here, you’ve already done something brave. My hope is to offer a space where you can let your guard down, feel genuinely met, and not have to go through things alone.
Therapy with me isn’t about fixing you - because I don’t believe you’re broken. I believe in sitting together with what’s hard, what’s unclear, what’s been avoided, and slowly making room for something new to grow. That might look like naming emotions you’ve been carrying for years, finding the humour in the heaviness, or learning how to hear your own voice beneath the noise.
My approach is trauma-informed, relational, and deeply rooted in curiosity and compassion. I work from a culturally aware, anti-oppressive lens and I honour how identity, systems, and lived experience shape our stories. I also don’t subscribe to one model of therapy - instead, I tailor our work together using tools and practices that make sense for you. This may include CBT, DBT, mindfulness, narrative therapy, attachment-based work, and more.
I believe that much of our suffering stems from wounds in connection - and that healing can also happen through connection. Whether you’re processing past trauma, navigating anxiety or burnout, or exploring your sense of self, I’ll be here to support you with care, humour, and honesty. We'll go at your pace. We’ll check in often. And when it’s hard, we’ll breathe - and maybe even laugh - through it together.
"When you touch one thing with deep awareness,
you touch everything."
- Lao Tzu
